Dear Neighbour,

I am very pleased to put my name forward to represent Ward 13 on London City Council for the municipal election to be held October 22nd 2018.

From Proudfoot to Piccadilly, Blackfriars to SoHo, Oxford Park to Woodfield, North Talbot to Kensington Village, Riverforks to Midtown and Downtown - I commit to being your community champion.

I will reach out and engage your neighbourhood, listen to your needs, and be your voice at City Hall.

Today I ask to be your ‘1st Choice’, so we can move forward together to build a stronger more sustainable, engaged city.

London is a great city and Ward 13 at the core is an integral part of its success. There are a lot of good initiatives in our ward; at the same time for me, good is not good enough. I want each of us to take pride in the downtown and our neighbourhoods and create something that is truly excellent - I make my personal commitment to always strive to do more.

I will work, to deliver a strong and prosperous city through economic growth; to develop a sustainable downtown, where everyone can afford a safe place to live; to invest in our neighbourhoods and create engaged community; to deliver integrated networked transportation that is efficient and effective; and to ensure democratic accountability through open, transparent and authentic leadership.

This race though is not about me it is about us. It’s not a political campaign, but a chance to build our community movement. I want to engage every member of our community from youth to seniors, from the disadvantaged to the fortunate. I commit to listen and work with everyone, to celebrate diversity, while enhancing our common bond.

I wanted to share with you one of my favourite quotes:

“Leadership is creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen”

Let’s begin the journey to create something exceptional. Let’s work together to deliver excellence and make a commitment to settle for nothing less. I hope you will join me so we can start this extraordinary journey together.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Jonathan
