TOcore - Tower Separation Distances

The TOcore team would like to invite everyone to an upcoming community consultation meeting on Tower Separation Distances

As many of you know, TOcore is a three-year, interdivisional initiative, led by City Planning. The purpose of the study is to ensure growth positively contributes to Toronto's Downtown as a great place to live, work, learn, play and invest.

Downtown is increasingly characterized by tall buildings. This community consultation will be presenting the directions for new Official Plan policies and a new Downtown area-specific zoning by-law that will set out required setbacks from property lines, and between 2 towers on a single site.

Appropriate separation distances between towers minimizes negative impacts on the public realm and neighbouring properties, such as adverse shadowing, pedestrian-level wind and blockage of sky view.

This community consultation is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about this part of the TOcore study, ask questions, and share your comments.

Details are as follows:

TIME:                    7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
